Terry Manjaro Releases Love Struck African Pop Single Ngwanyana

Terry Manjaro is an independent singer-songwriter and dancer from Pretoria South Africa. His diverse musical style is on full display in his self-released “Before the Rain” EP which serves as a prologue to his upcoming debut album planned to be released July 2018.

Like many singers, Terry started singing at church and when his interest for soul and hip pop music developed, he fell in love with popular music which led to him to begin writing his own. He sings in Pedi, Zulu and English, and writes about his life as a young man growing up in the village and the township.

When it came a time to work on his debut album, he turned to a South African Music Awards nominated giant producer Kevin Leicher who has worked with the likes of MXO, Gallo’s Josie Field, Arno Carstens, just to name a few. Together they have created something soulful, unique, experimental and worth an ear.

Having a strict budget to record his debut album, he could only afford to record 10 songs which he says was a hard project with no luxury of having enough songs to select for the album and that motivated him to do his best in every song. The first single off the album is called ‘Ngwanyana’ – “The song is about a young man declaring his love to a girl who used to adore him, reminding her of the things that made their connection special and what kind of a man he is at the moment since the painful unexplained distance between them”.

Now done with school and ready for the world with his newly founded Entertainment Company and skills the country is yet to witness, he plans to be an entertainment force in the South African music industry and beyond.
