From playing football with celebrities to national Radio exposure on BBC, Plat B reveals new tracks off his E.P ‘Pb Levels’

Plat B is an East London born rapper based in Leytonstone.

Plat B was previously a keen footballer earning a football scholarship at Redbridge College with Leyton Orient Football Club (LOFC) and playing for Waltham Forest, Essex Schoolboys and the same Sunday Team as David Beckam (Brimsdown Rovers) as well as playing against Jermain Defoe and Shaun Wright-Phillips at youth level.

Between the ages of 17 and 22 Plat B, after having attended schools with Lethal Bizzle, Plan B and Nasir Mazhir turned his attention to making music.

In 2002, his track ‘From L’ was featured on Ras Kwame’s show ‘Home-grown Cuts’ on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Plat B’s influences come from hip hop and the UK grime scene having grown up in East London around the likes of Sharky Major, Jammer, Kano (Nasty Crew), Slew Dem Crew, More Fire Crew/Fire Camp (Lethal Bizzle, Ozzie B, Fumin MC) and Newham Generals (D Double E and Footsie).

Plat B recorded his 8-track ‘Pb Levels’ EP in the summer of 2017 at Morfius’ studios the well-known Grime studio frequented by artists like Wiley and more.

Plat B released his new single ‘Came Up’ on 5th August 2017 via GRM Daily and the follow up single ‘Legit’ via the Mixtape Madness YouTube channel is out now.

Street Life by Plat B has recently received big support and was played on BBC Radio 1Xtra by DJ Semtex.
