A spirited family band from Galway, Ireland, self-described “Celt-grass” enthusiasts We Banjo 3 deliver a crowd-pleasing fusion of traditional Irish music, bluegrass, and old-timey folk. Founded in 2011 by two sets of brothers, Enda and Fergal Scahill and Martin and David Howley, all of whom were (and still are) serial trophy collectors in the competitive music field, bringing home numerous titles in their areas of expertise, the group released its critically acclaimed debut album, Roots of the Banjo Tree, in 2012. Two years later We Banjo 3 issued Gather the Good, which was awarded the Irish American News Vocal/Instrumental Album of the Year, and the following year they put out their first concert LP, Live in Galway. Arriving in 2016, String Theory debuted at number one on the Billboard world chart. The siblings are often joined by unofficial fifth member Garry O’Meara, and by Martin Howley’s wife, Kiana Weber, who is a member of Gaelic Storm. ~ James Christopher Monger
